Orders and deposits
Ready-made pieces are paid in full at checkout. Made-to-order pieces may be paid as a deposit (the percentage shown at checkout) with the balance due once your piece is ready, before it ships or is picked up.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel an order for free any time before it has started in the workshop — that is, while it is still awaiting payment or sitting in the queue. Once work has begun (a slab has been selected, drying, flattening, joinery or finishing), message us through your order page instead and we will work out the best outcome, which may include a partial refund of the deposit for wood and time already committed.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and can take several business days to appear, depending on your bank. A refund is capped at what has actually been paid on the order. Cancelling before work starts refunds everything paid; cancelling after is handled case by case as described above.
Shipping and pickup
We ship crated furniture and small pieces across Canada, or you can pick up in person from the workshop in Ottawa, Ontario. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay. Risk of loss or damage in transit is covered by the carrier and, where applicable, by us — contact us right away if a piece arrives damaged.
Wood is a natural material
Solid wood moves with the seasons and every slab has its own grain, colour and character. Small variation from photos is normal and not a defect.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the information you give us.
